Join us at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center for the tenth annual Fly Fest, sponsored by Roscoe’s Catskill Flies. This annual event is a fine gathering for flytyers, both near and far, to share some stories, techniques and new fly patterns. Everyone is welcome to come see this group in the warmth of the Museum in a very casual setting. Shop or swap some flies, chat the tyers up or look over their shoulders. This is a good excuse to get out of the house and shake off the mid winter blues. This year’s theme is the world’s most famous fly, The Hendrickson and you can expect to see more variations than you can imagine.
Wanna tie too? You can, simply reply on our blog area here or you can do same as sponsor Catskill Flies website, www.catskillflies.com. Coordinators John Bonasera and Rick Fischer areready, willing and able to answer any questions and make sure you have a seat to sit down and tie.
It has been proven that if you see a tyer’s shadow at this event, you can expect 7 more weeks before the opening of NYS Trout Season on April 1.
So, plan an escape now and be at the Tenth Annual Fly Fest on Saturday, February 7, 2015, 10AM – 4PM.
On this day….it’s all about flytying.
