Our Japanese flyfishing brothers reclaim a mountain stream and restock for those who follow in the years to come.
Woodstick is a term that was coined from our ‘Woodstock’ which they translated as a gathering of those with like mind. Those of course were those who flyfished with ‘wood (cane) flyrods’. Neat. The first gathering of ‘Woodstick’ here was in 2010 organized by Mike McFarland. Since that gathering at the CFFCM, this group has planned a Woodstick every year to teach children to fish and respect the culture. It’s all about flyfishing.
