Year of the Hendrickson: Steenrod’s Hendrickson

Created in May of 1916 on the banks of the Beaverkill, this pattern was created by Roy Steenrod to imitate the female Ephemerella subvaria may flies. In earlier version a woodduck tails was used, but was switched to hackle fibers.
