John Bonasera

John has been coming to the Catskills since the 70’s. He got serious about fly fishing around 2000 and has been tying old patterns and reading about Catskill history for 20+ years. He’s an active member of the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild and the CFFCM and says: “the older I get the more I enjoy the slow paced sport of fly fishing.” John has been a “guest tyer” in the Museum and at the Dette Fly Shop’s and is considered one of the premier tyers in our region.
